Dr. Chris Teague - President  
  Dr. Teague is a physician for Family Diagnostic Medical Center in Hillsboro.  He was born in Lafayette, Indiana, graduating from high school in 1989 and medical school in 1993.  Dr. Teague is serving in his third term and this year will serve as president of the board.  He and his wife Melissa have two children, Will and Bryn.
  

Guadalupe "Lupe" Mancha- Vice President
   

Mr. Mancha was born in Mexico and became a United States citizen in 1993.  He attended and graduated school in Mexico.  Mr. Mancha is currently self-employed as a building contractor.  His sons Napoleon and Alfonso are students of Hillsboro ISD.  He is married to Linda, also a native of Mexico.

 Having served on the board since 2001, Lupe's philosophy is that school should provide an excellent education for all students.  Lupe was elected to serve as vice-president in May 2009. He believes in teaching, respect, and leadership along with the academic skills.

 
 Karen Smith - Secretary
 
 

Karen Smith became a member of the board of trustees in May 2006 and was elected secretary in May 2009.  She was born and raised in Waco graduating from Richfield High School. After high school graduation she attended Baylor University obtaining a BBA degree.  Karen and her husband, Andy, moved to Hillsboro in 1983.  They have three sons.  Benjamin is a master's graduate of Sam Houston State University while Colin attends Baylor University.  Benjamin and Colin are both Hillsboro ISD graduates.Their third son, Patrick, is currently a student in the Hillsboro ISD.

 Mrs. Smith is active in numerous community activities.  She is a member of the First Baptist Church and Sesame Club and has been involved in the Parent-Teacher Organization, and a former parent educator for HISD.  Mrs. Smith is employed as a part-time marketing director for Citizens National Bank and Citizens Financial Services.
 
Mrs. Smith's philosophy of education is that every child should be given an equal opportunity to succeed.  She values her time on the board of trustees as a worthwhile investment and hopes to be a continuing factor in the improvements in our district.  "Good Schools contribute to a strong Hillsboro," Mrs. Smith said.

 

 
Gregg Hill

Gregg Hill became a member of the Board of Trustees in June 2010.Gregg grew up and graduated from high school in Itasca. He graduated from Texas A&M University and completed law school at Mississippi College in 1986.Gregg is an attorney with Sims Moore Hill Gannon & Crain, L.L.P. in Hillsboro. His wife, Marilyn teaches at Hillsboro High School and their daughter, Mary Byrne, attends HISD." 
 
 
 
 
 Norman Baker

Norman Baker became a member of the board of trustees in 1992.  Mr. Baker holds the honor of having completed the Texas Association of School Board Master Trustee and is a charter member of the Texas Association of School Boards Cooperative Energy Board.  He serves as pastor of Wade AME Church.  Mr. Baker is married to Velenda.  Their children attend Hillsboro ISD schools.

Jamie Siddons

Jamie Siddons became a member of the board of trustees in June 2008.  Jamie is employed by Julie Siddons Realtors as a real estate agent.  She is very active with the PTO, serving as president for the Intermediate School.  Jamie is also a member of the Ellis/Hill Board of Realtors, the Sesame Club and the Hillsboro Lion's Club.
Jamie was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and moved to Texas, then to Florida and returned to Texas where she attended Clark High School in San Antonio and earned a marketing degree from Texas State University in San Marcos.
Jamie and her husband, Bill, are the proud parents of daughter, Shelby, who attends Hillsboro ISD.   The family attends the First United Methodist Church.
