Degrees and Certifications:
Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction
With over 20 years of experience as an education professional, including 20 with Hillsboro ISD, Angela Boyd brings a wealth of experience to her role as Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Her focus is on curriculum development and planning, professional development, accountability, and support for campus administrators.
Boyd received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with specializations in Reading and Music and a Master of Educational Administration from Tarleton State University. She also holds her superintendent certification from the University of Texas at Tyler. Boyd taught 7th and 8th grade math in another district prior to joining HISD in 2000 as a 5th grade teacher. She quickly stepped into administrative roles, first as Assistant Principal and then Principal for Hillsboro Intermediate School.
As a fourth generation graduate of Hillsboro High School and a lifelong member of this community, Boyd wholeheartedly believes she would not be who she is today without the many influences of educators past and present. She wants nothing more than to help support and guide all levels of personnel in our district as they provide authentic educational experiences to our students so they too may look back on their education in HISD and know that the years spent in Hillsboro were meaningful, inspirational, and that they were provided with a world of possibilities.
