Public Information Request (Open Records)

In accordance with the law, all Public Information Requests must be in writing. A written request should reasonably identify the records needed and should indicate a mailing address, phone number, or other means to contact you regarding your request. There isn't a specific form required for submitting requests, however, you may click here to use a form from the Texas Attorney General. Requests may be submitted by any of the means indicated below.

Note: Written requests need to be for documents already in existence. A governmental body is not required to answer questions, perform legal research, or create new information in response to public information requests.
