Public Notice/Comment for Federal Funds Application
2024-2025

Hillsboro ISD will be applying for the 2024-2025 ESSA consolidated federal funds. Included below is
the intended purpose for the use of the funds. Public comment is welcome at this time.

➢ Title I, A - $522,375 (estimate)
      Purpose: Provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and
      high-quality education and close educational achievement gaps.
      Tentative Plan: Provide paraprofessionals, interventionists, teachers, and professional
      development
➢ Title II, A - $80,683 (estimate)
      Purpose: Improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers and administrators
      Tentative Plan: Provide stipends to high need areas
      These funds will REAP into Title I, A funds so that they can meet the purpose of both Title I, A
      and Title II, A.
➢ Title III, A (LEP) - $35,853 (estimate)
     Purpose: Provide supplemental resources to help ensure that children who are English
     learners attain English proficiency at high levels in academic subjects and can meet state
     achievement performance standards.
     Tentative Plan: Provide stipends, professional development, and parent, family, and community
     engagement opportunities
➢ Title IV, A - $42,000 (estimate)
     Purpose: Improve the academic achievement of all students by increasing the capacity of
     LEAs, schools, and communities
     Tentative Plan: Provide instructional materials/resources
     These funds will REAP into Title I, A funds so that they can meet the purpose of both Title I, A
     and Title IV, A.
➢ IDEA B - $459,613 (estimate)
     Purpose: Provide custom services and instruction specific to the needs of students
     Tentative Plan: Provide paraprofessionals, teachers, and resources to allow access to a free
     and appropriate education
➢ IDEA B, Preschool - $8,773 (estimate)
     Purpose: Provide special education and related services for children with disabilities aged 3-5
     Tentative Plan: Provide paraprofessionals, teachers, and resources to allow access to a free
     and appropriate education that supplements IDEA B
