Title II

Title II, Part A - Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting

The purpose of Title II is to increase student academic achievement through improving teacher and principal
quality and increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in the classrooms and highly qualified principals
and assistant principals in the school. Title II funds may be used in the following activities:
● Recruiting, hiring, and retention of highly qualified personnel, including stipends
● Professional development for the purpose of improving the quality of teacher and paraprofessional workforce
● Reducing class size

Hillsboro ISD has opted to REAP these funds into Title I, A funds so that they can meet the purpose of both Title I, A and Title II, A.
