HHS students experiencing difficulty meeting classroom assignment expectations may be required to attend Hillsboro University (HU), a positive intervention strategy providing an additional opportunity for student success. Attendance and participation is mandatory for students assigned to HU, and parental support in this endeavor is expected and appreciated.
HU is offered on the HHS campus in the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:35 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bus transportation is available. Students needing to ride the bus must sign up during lunch in the cafeteria before 1 p.m. Students that will be coming late in the evening need to contact Mrs. Davis before leaving campus at 3:35.
Students may also be assigned HU with their teacher in their classroom. This is separate from the library housing HU. If your teacher assigns this to you, it will be on a purple form and questions will need to be addressed to that teacher.
