Students' Artwork on Display at State Capitol

Two students from Hillsboro Intermediate will have their art displayed at the Texas State Capitol for a week in February after winning a contest by the Texas Department of Agriculture this past school year.

Marely Zaragoza placed third in the National School Lunch Week 2018-2019 “Level Up” category. Ilexis Flores placed second in the School Breakfast Week 2018-2019 “Level Up” category.

As well as having their art displayed at the Capitol for a week, their artwork will be up year-round in the “Gallery of Winners” on www.SquareMeals.org. They will receive a professionally framed print out and rendition of their artwork, award ribbon, signed certificate, and a signed letter from Texas Department of Agriculture Commissioner, Sid Miller.
